This is what happens when the sun is out and there's woodstain floating about!
...It means that boredom meets unstained wood, that's what happens. It is like a scientific collision. The thought process was thus; 1) Hmm...I must put that woodstain into the shed, 2) Oh, the shed door is locked and key is in the kitchen and I am in the Garden...bench I stained yesterday looks nice. 3) Going back to the kitchen is a long way from the Garden...wonder what's for tea...Oh, look at the shed door, that's made of wood, ah-a!
As you can our shed used to be the outside toilet, as up in the north they felt this was the best place for them, to start with, right next to the kitchen. It is a period feature, or was until it was moved upstairs many years ago. Though it is nice, I am sure you'll agree, that they kept the original turn of the century toilet door. But after living through the Great War, The second world war where it took part in the raid on St Nazare. It returned and over time has declined to become a pale shell of itS former glory, in this way our toilet door shared the same fortune as the British Nation after the war.
4) I am now making an executive decision that you have become the next part of the Garden Project which has the potential of morphing into a garden themed world conquest.
5) After staining the bench yesterday, I don't really have much woodstain left so may use up all the woodstain on the door and frames, therefore I will be left with an empty tin, which will not need to be stored but can be thrown away. Do you see How I have squared my circle, through the power of my mind?
So, in a beautiful spring day where the woodstain dried almost instantly due to it facing the sun and the clear gloss varnish dried in about 30 minutes of the mid afternoon sun!
And here are the results of formulating a policy that meant I didnt have to store the woodstain. A rejuvenated door that looks like it did in its glory days and another facet to the garden project!
It certainly looked better than it did in the morning, anyway.
