And they say Germans have no sense of humour.

I love it. And this is an old one, from a few years ago, that I was reminded of by the last video. It's truly hilarious, though it does tend to steretype the Americans as being a little Gung-ho and arrogant when it comes to war!

I am so glad I am having a daughter!

never slide on artificial turf when playing 5 a side!

The reasons are thus; 1 - Pain 2 - Pain and Blood 3 - pain, blood, antiseptic wipes (How much do they hurt) 4 - Getting pre-warned by my wife that if I so much as get any blood near the sheets and mattresses, like last time, I will have more blood to worry about. And before anybody asks, they are running trousers and they keep my legs warm! I am not a footballing pirate.

The onslaught of Technology, which'll save my back!

I love technology...especially light up, matt black, slimline, ultra fast. Yet, today I find myself discussing a more practical form of Technology; Baby technology and our new travel Cot. Travel cots tend to be vast rectangles of mesh with solid frames that fold or come apart that fit into a bag about 2mts long and weigh approximately 1 tonne. They are vital, yet bulky at times. So what we have found is a travel cot that does in fact appear to be a tent! Not only is it exceptionally light, but the bag is pretty much satchel size. To me this is a great example of technology that makes a difference. You can even stake it out in the garden with tent pegs! so if the daughter does get too loud, she can sleep in the garden, which apparently I have been told, by my wife, is wrong.

The weird world of Pregnancy...or Jamie Oliver in reverse

My good lady wife is still pregnant, this apparently lasts for 9 months. Not long to go now. Not only has this been an experience in a purely emotionally and physical way. I would have to say that it has also opened my eyes in a culinary way also. And as I love food, how could this be bad? Well...Not bad, just curious. My wifes' hormones have led to her becoming a most innovative pastry chef. So imagine my delight when it is decided that my wife wants to make a cheesecake, with a little twist. I present Photographic proof; What we have here, is to my knowledge, the first Angel Delight Strawberry and butterscotch cheesecake, with a hobnob biscuit base. It was quite yummy. If not so aesthetic.

You don't have to be mad to work here, but it helps.

Is one of the many little work posters that occassionally appear to amuse people who require a more imaginative humour. They are not my cup of tea, I class them with bumper stickers as almost a form of alerting you to the individual in the car or at the desk, from which it hangs proudly as if it was crafted from within the witty mind of Oscar Wilde, who was funny. Now I found myself seeing a work colleague today, and he had obviously taken one of these little poster formats and created his own, or copied it from somewhere, I didn't ask which, because I was slightly crushed by the content having spent 7 years of my life studying the classics and it seemed to, in a nut shell sum up the whole roman aspect of classics, where there have been millions of words printed about the subject. It read; It was a comic look at the over reliance on meetings within my work world. "The Romans did not build the Roman Empire on meeting after meeting, discussing how to build the Empire. The Romans...

Sight not often seen.

I am not sure just how interesting this is, but I was a little intruiged as it was something I had never seen and didn't expect to see, as it seems an unlinked combination in my head. At 7am sat in Worksop train station waiting room, a woman reading the days copy of the Daily Sport, which she had bought in with her. Now, is it me or does this scene just seem a little strange. I am obviously not saying that no woman can't read it, I just thought they didn't. It is not a paper I associate with having a female appeal, that's all.
