science teachers

If science was this interesting at school, I would not have got an E in physics!

seriously, this is wrong

Why, at 1.30am am I trawling through classic bond tracks on you tube. It has to be said, I am having some 'geek' time. It's great!

Quantum of Solace

One of the most exciting things in my life at present, is waiting for the new James Bond film, quantum of Solace to be released! If it's anywhere near the quality of Casino Royale then it's going to be amazing. But, I came across this total you tube gem. Gladys Knight singing the 'licence to kill' theme, the last Timothy dalton Bond film, and his best. I was, and still remain a huge fan of the Dalton Bond and believed him to be the closest to the book character, until Daniel Craig, who is equally the 'hard' Bond from the books. But certainly as a kid I was stunned by this theme tune, especially as a member of the James bond when this film came out. It is, in my opinion one of the best Bond tunes, up there with the Wings 'live and let die' and the classic matt munro 'from russia with love'. Although the video is a product of its tiume in the mid 80's it's still great to listen to!

Yet, this aside Great Britain has done remarkably well. 2 points which really needs dealing with. 1 - Crumbs, after Sydney and Beijing our 2012 effort fills me with nothing but complete pessimissim. 2 - Athletics. Okay this is a pet soap box, but this is the most funded area of our Olympic sports and the Performance of our athletes is, quite frankly, just not good enough. Within four years there seriously needs to be a radical re-think of our performance management. I don't know how many more times I can sit and listen to Athletes who say 'it's been a great experience' or 'i didn't do myself justice'. The point of throwing all this lottery money is to get Athletes to turn up and say, actually, 'i am here to win'. Athletics has so often bemoaned its lack of funding inhiting its ability to turn out world class
